لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

Pronunciation

Lā ilāha illallāhul-'aẓīmul-ḥalīm, lā ilāha illallāhu rabbul-'arshil-'aẓīm, lā ilāha illallāhu rabbus-samāwāti wa rabbul-arḍi wa rabbul-'arshil-karīm.

Meaning

There is no god but Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne. (The dua of distress).

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

Pronunciation

Yā Ḥayyu yā Qayyūmu biraḥmatika astaghīth, aṣliḥ lī sha'nī kullahū wa lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata 'ayn.

Meaning

O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help. Rectify all my affairs and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Pronunciation

Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan, wal-'ajzi wal-kasal, wal-bukhli wal-jubn, wa ḍala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijāl.

Meaning

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by men.

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا

Pronunciation

Allāhumma lā sahla illā mā ja'altahū sahlā, wa anta taj'alul-ḥazna idhā shi'ta sahlā.

Meaning

O Allah, nothing is easy except what You make easy, and You make hardship easy if You wish.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

Pronunciation

Allāhumma rabban-nās, adhhibil-ba's, ishfi antash-Shāfī, lā shifā'a illā shifā'uk, shifā'an lā yughādiru saqamā.

Meaning

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal — You are the Healer. There is no healing but Yours, a healing that leaves no illness.

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Pronunciation

A'ūdhu billāhi wa qudratihī min sharri mā ajidu wa uḥādhir.

Meaning

I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear. (Place your hand on the pain and say it seven times).

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

Pronunciation

Allāhummak-finī biḥalālika 'an ḥarāmik, wa aghninī bifaḍlika 'amman siwāk.

Meaning

O Allah, suffice me with what You made lawful instead of the unlawful, and enrich me by Your bounty so I need none besides You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ

Pronunciation

Allāhumma innā naj'aluka fī nuḥūrihim, wa na'ūdhu bika min shurūrihim.

Meaning

O Allah, we place You before them and seek refuge in You from their evil.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

Pronunciation

A'ūdhu bikalimātillāhit-tāmmāti min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli 'aynin lāmmah.

Meaning

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, every poisonous creature, and every evil eye.

Pronunciation

Allāhumma innī as'alukal-'afwa wal-'āfiyata fid-dunyā wal-ākhirah.

Meaning

O Allah, I ask You for pardon and wellbeing in this world and the Hereafter.

Pronunciation

A'ūdhu billāhi minash-shayṭānir-rajīm.

Meaning

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil. (Say it when anger rises).

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ

Pronunciation

Allāhumma innī astakhīruka bi'ilmik, wa astaqdiruka biqudratik, wa as'aluka min faḍlikal-'aẓīm, fa innaka taqdiru wa lā aqdir, wa ta'lamu wa lā a'lam, wa anta 'allāmul-ghuyūb.

Meaning

O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, I seek strength through Your power, and I ask You from Your immense bounty — for You are able and I am not, You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. (Prayed after two rak'ahs of Istikhara).
