The Prophet ﷺ encouraged reading Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah. Scholars mention it is a shield from the trials of Dajjal — the Prophet ﷺ said whoever memorises the first ten verses will be protected from him (Sahih Muslim 809).

The recitation window runs from Maghrib on Thursday evening until Maghrib on Friday.

Young believers fled a tyrant king to preserve their faith. Allah caused them to sleep in a cave for 309 years and awakened them as a sign for their people — a trial of faith versus power.

A wealthy man boasted about his gardens and denied the resurrection. Allah destroyed his crops overnight — a trial of wealth versus gratitude.

Prophet Musa ﷺ travelled to meet a servant of Allah gifted with special knowledge. Through three seemingly strange acts, Musa learned that divine wisdom often lies beyond what the eyes can see — a trial of knowledge versus humility.

A righteous king travelled east and west, ruled with justice, and built a mighty barrier to hold back Ya'juj and Ma'juj — a trial of power versus responsibility.

1. Open the Qur'an in the app and go to Surah 18.
2. Read a few pages after Fajr on Friday, or divide it across the day.
3. Memorise the first ten verses over time — a Sunnah with immense reward.
