Huruf Murakkabat — Joined Letters

Read two, three and four-letter groups

In Noorani Qaida the next step after single letters is reading joined combinations. Look at each shape carefully — the same letter changes appearance depending on its position — then sound it out from right to left.

1

Two joined letters

Read each pair as one smooth sound.

bat · jad · sar · kam · fan · qal

2

Three joined letters

Blend the three sounds without pausing.

kataba · dhahaba · fataha · nasara

3

Four joined letters

Longer chains train your eye to see letter shapes in context.

akhraja · anzala · akrama

4

Non-connectors inside a word

ا د ذ ر ز و break the join — the next letter starts fresh.

Notice the visible gap after the non-connectors.

5

Practice drill

Read slowly right to left, then repeat faster.

qara'a · sajada · raka'a · hamida
